Hurricane Otto Destruction
At the end of 2016, Hurricane Otto directly impacted the Indio Maíz Biological Reserve. The reserve served as a retaining wall to weaken the destructive force of Hurricane Otto, affecting more than 60% of the broadleaf forest area.
